WEST控(kong)(kong)制器(qi)分組合邏輯(ji)(ji)控(kong)(kong)制器(qi)和微(wei)程(cheng)序(xu)控(kong)(kong)制器(qi)，兩種控(kong)(kong)制器(qi)各有(you)長處(chu)和短處(chu)。WEST微(wei)程(cheng)序(xu)控(kong)(kong)制器(qi)設計方(fang)便，結構(gou)簡(jian)單，修改(gai)(gai)或擴(kuo)充都方(fang)便，修改(gai)(gai)一條機(ji)(ji)器(qi)指(zhi)令的功(gong)能，只需重編所對(dui)應的微(wei)程(cheng)序(xu)；要(yao)增加一條機(ji)(ji)器(qi)指(zhi)令，只需在WEST控(kong)(kong)制存儲(chu)器(qi)中(zhong)增加一段微(wei)程(cheng)序(xu)。WEST組合邏輯(ji)(ji)控(kong)(kong)制器(qi)又稱硬(ying)(ying)布線控(kong)(kong)制器(qi)，由(you)邏輯(ji)(ji)電路(lu)構(gou)成，完全(quan)靠硬(ying)(ying)件來實現指(zhi)令的功(gong)能。
